These are the beautiful Stain Glass Windows created by the grade 7 and 8 students which will be auctioned off.
The Live Laugh Love Window will be raffled.
Tickets are available at the school or the night of the event for $1 each.
SHALOM
The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario is proud to announce the new board theme for the 2011-2012 school year. The new theme is Shalom: Acting Justly, Living Peacefully, Celebrating Joyfully.
The Hebrew word "shalom" conveys what God planned for creation. Shalom means that people are in a good relationship with God, with themselves and their bodies, with their neighbours (all other people), and with the earth. For people to be in shalom means that their life is balanced and that they relate to the whole of what surrounds them with a peaceful spirit.
To have shalom means to have a life that is put together, full, rich, and abundant as God intended it. To bring shalom means to bring healing and wholeness to lives, to people, to the world. To bring shalom would mean deliberately looking for the shattered, the hungry, the lost, the down-trodden, and to act in such a way as to change the state... to feed, to liberate, to raise up. Here at St. Francis, we look forward to working with you to bring Shalom to our students, staff, school and greater community.
